Christmas Activities for Entertaining And Engaging Your Kids This Holiday Season

As parents and grandparents, don’t you love to have your kids at home for Christmas? Surely, it is fun to see them around the house, playing, dancing, and having great fun with their cousins and friends. However, with a long vacation, you might need to plan some Christmas activities for kids. This way, they can have fun and develop creative and thinking skills. Moreover, they can even sell the same and earn a few bucks in the holiday season. Let’s take a look at the list of Christmas activities for kids to encourage them to get rid of their boredom.

Painted Pinecone Décor

If you get pinecones from your garden or neighborhood, make your child beautify them with Christmasy décor. They simply need to find several colors and paint the pinecones. If you want to make it a Christmas theme, make sure green, red, gold and silver are in the color options.

Goofy Eyed Socks

You can pick the brightest or the ugliest pair of socks and give your child a push to let him stick some funny eye stickers. This will make the socks look pretty, and they can make one for every member of their family to gift during Christmas.

Wreath Making

If there are wooden rings of jars or old wheel rims, the kids can make wreaths of them. From winding around these rings with green cellophane sheets to pasting green woolen yarn, the kids can go as crazy as they want. Suggest them to recycle products, and they get to appreciate recycling things this way. Don’t forget to use glittery red ornaments to spruce up the wreath.

Clay Candleholders

If your child loves working with clay or play-dough, suggest them to make Christmas-themed candle holders. They can give shapes of small elves, or simple trees and Santa hats. These are great to look at and brighten up the rooms. They can also be the perfect gift items to sell online or offline.

Hand-Printed Cards and Balloons

Paints and colors always excite the kids to no end. They can put paint on their hands or fingers and feet and make unique cards. Though we no longer send real paper cards anymore, let them recreate that love for the original ways of holiday wishes. This will take them to the times when Christmas meant all of these and much more.

There are various other Christmas activities for kids to try and enjoy. The kids can find great enjoyment playing and creating stuff that can even be sold for a few bucks. Many such craft ideas and success stories are available as a podcast at the Peach and Plum Lab site for you to get inspired.
